Somali Woman Stoned to Death Under Sharia Law

Woman Stoned to DeathA young woman was stoned to death Thursday in Somalia after being convicted of engaging in out-of-marriage sex, reports say.

Residents of Jamama town, 425km south of Mogadishu in Lower Juba region, said that militants loyal to Al-Shabaab carried out the stoning at the town’s main square in late afternoon.

“Many residents were called to attend the execution of the punishment,” a resident who requested anonymity for own safety told Kulmiye, an independent broadcaster in Mogadishu.

He added that Al-Shabaab officials in the town witnessed the stoning.

“The woman admitted having out-of-marriage sex,” said an Islamist official who talked to the crowd after the stoning was completed.

“This type of punishments that are compatible with Sharia (Islamic laws) will be administered,” said the official.

The official is right.  Here’s what the Reliance of the Traveller, the Classic Manual of Sacred Islamic Law, says about the legal penalty for those who fornicate, who have reached puberty, are sane and commit the act voluntarily, no matter whether the person is a Muslim or non-Muslim in an Islamic state:

o12.2  “If the offender is someone with the capacity to remain chase, then he or she is stoned to death . . .”

    Peace. Please correctly read the Qur’an. Those of your women who commit fornication, let four (Muslim) witnesses testify to their act. If there is sufficient testimony, confine them to their homes until they die, or until God provides a way for their freedom. That is a health quarantine. Execution/death stoning is contrary to those words of G-d. The Most Wise, Merciful in the Qur’an.

    Qur’an does not say flog or stone (a fornicator) to death. No where does it say that. That is a man made (up) law. And who does more wrong than he who invents lies against the Truth? The Qur’an is most correct. Only many readers/supposed representatives of it are wrong. May Allah please Help us all truly repent before death. :*( peace.

        Hold on, Hold on. You can’t generalize an entire religion by the actions of a few misguided individuals who do barbaric things not because Islam is telling them but rather they have their own political and cultural reasons. Ignorant people like ( Asma Marwan & Anil Kumar) are the ones supporting those extremists for doing such acts. My humble question to you is.
        If this is what the Quran says, How come only handful people are practicing this? Doesn’t that tell you there is something else behind this? This kind of barbaric things only happen in certain areas where the individuals take things out of context. I don’t agree with what they are doing, but that doesn’t mean we could label the entire Islamic religion because of those individuals.

          Please watch this if you want to know the truth about the Sharia law. As this will shed some light on you and educate you on what sharia is.

    @Daaifatul Mansoor
    I can find PLENTY of verses, which are not abrogated, that orders muslims to kill/fight the unbelievers, and that non-belivers must be fought forever and ever. In fact, what you call extremist views among muslims are, in fact, very common.

    That Quran is reveiled in stages (Quran 17:106) through the concept of abrogation (Quran 16:101 + Quran 2:106), which is why you see different stages with respect to implementation of sharia.

    Please DON’T take non-believers for a fool and white-wash Quran and islam as if islam is just as peaceful as other religions. Even the concept of “moderate” muslims is nonsense, it’s just a stage in spreading sharia.

    What you say is not only taqiyya (lies to propagate islam), what you say is completely nonsense, and you know it.

    there’s no hope for these religious zealots, they are Neanderthals, I don’t wish to condone genocide, but in this case, the sooner these lunatics are eradicated from the face of the earth, the safer it will be for all, regardless of your religious beliefs…
